Rates

EPUD is not-for-profit, and our rates are set to reflect the actual cost it takes to deliver energy to your meter. The steps to rate making can be quite complex, but the process is helped by the involvement of the Rates Citizen Advisory Committee. These meetings, along with all Board of Director meetings, are open to the public and there's always time set aside for public comment.

The following rates represent the majority of EPUD customers and are a brief summarization of the actual rate schedules.

When EPUD was founded in 1983, we took over territory previously being served by the private power company Pacific Power and Light (PP&L). As a public power entity, EPUD is able to consistently deliver lower rates to our Customer-Owners. Click here to see chart comparing recent EPUD and PP&L rates.
