Several phishing emails have recently been sent to some EPUD.net, CMC and efn.org customers, instructing them to reply back with their email address and password or risk having their account deleted. These emails are NOT valid and should NOT be responded to in any way.

with their email address and password or risk having their account
deleted. These emails are NOT valid and should NOT be responded to in
any way. EPUD never asks for personal information or passwords through
email. If you ever receive an email from EPUD asking for personal
information, do not respond. If you are ever in doubt, call us at
Phishing is the term coined for Internet scammers who imitate
legitimate companies in emails to entice people to share user names,
passwords, or credit card numbers. Never give out your personal
information via email. EPUD provides various secure and convenient

EXAMPLE "PHISHING" emails:
1.) Dear efn.org Subscriber, We are currently carrying-out
a mantainace process to your efn.org account, to complete this, you
must reply to this mail immediately, and enter your User Name here
(.......) And Password here (.......) if you are the rightful owner of
this account. This process we help us to fight against spam mails.
Failure to summit your password, will render your email address
in-active from our database. NOTE: If your have done this before, you
may ignore this mail. You will be send a password reset message in next
seven (7) working days after undergoing this process for security
reasons. Thank you for using efn.org! THE efn.org TEAM

3.) Attention: CMC Account Holder,
This is to inform all CMC account holders again that
upgrading/maintenance of our server that was initially scheduled for
this week has been postponed till next week November 20, 2009 for
technical reasons. Once again, all account holders should endeavor to
confirm their information as failure to confirm the requested
information will lead to automatic system deactivation (ASD) after the
upgrade and maintenance. You may experience login problems during this
period. We are also having congestion due to the anonymous registration
of accounts and on this note, we are deactivating some accounts that
are no longer active and your account may be deactivated if no response
to this e-mail within one week.
To confirm and keep your CMC account active during and after this
upgrade and maintenance, you are advised to e-mail your account
