High Bill Resolution Center

With prices increasing across the board for the products and services we need, it can be difficult to make ends-meet.  EPUD recognizes this and we are committed to educating our Customer-Owners on HOW you can reduce your energy usage, and what resources are available when emergency strikes and you can't pay your bill.  Following, please find a quick resource guide for when you find your electric bill too high to manage.

Analyzing your Energy Usage:  Why is My Bill So High?

EPUD Customer-Owners now have FREE access to a device that can help reduce their energy usage and save money on their electric bills. This device is available for check out in multiple locations across our district and comes with full operating instructions.  A delivery option is also available. Home Energy Calculator:

Do you ever wonder how much you spend on just lighting, or just water heating? Or how much adding a room would add to your EPUD bill, or if it would be worth it to make some other change? Now there's an easy way to calculate all of your home's energy costs. The Home Energy Calculator uses data from local weather, home construction variables, and energy-use histories to produce reports tailored to your home. Click here to see how much electricity savings are likely from home improvements or adjusting your thermostat.

Bill Assistance: What If I Still Can’t Pay My Bill?

Getting help with your electric bill starts with calling an EPUD Customer Service Representative at 746-1583. We know at times our customers want to pay their bill, but just can't due to loss of work, family illness, or other emergencies. Representatives can make payment arrangements for most customers in these situations.

Customers who are low-income and senior, or disabled, may also be eligible for financial assistance through one of two programs: ERAP and Helping Hand. To learn more about these programs and how to apply, click here.

Equal Payment Plan:

Would paying the same amount each month make it easier to budget for your bill? If so, call EPUD at 746-1583 and get signed up for our Equal Payment Plan. We average out your bills throughout the year, so your payments stay level. This can spread your high usage winter months throughout the year, and make for easier payment.
