Heat Pump Programs
Looking for an energy-efficient, cost-effective way to heat and cool your home? A heat pump can cool your home in the summer, heat your home the rest of the year, and use an estimated 25% to 50% less energy than more traditional heating and cooling methods.
EPUD can help you install several different types of heat pumps in your home:
Ductless Heat Pumps
This technology offers an energy-efficient alternative for people seeking to heat and cool specific areas of their home. It’s less expensive, more energy efficient, and cheaper than installing other types of systems. EPUD is a participant in the Northwest Ductless Heat Pump Project to ensure quality installations.
If you’re interested in ductless heat pumps, EPUD can offer a $1,000 rebate with a zero-interest loan up to $7,500 in partnership with First Tech Credit Union for qualifying systems. State and federal tax credits may also be available for the installation of qualifying heat pumps. Please see the Heat Pump Program Description in the related documents section.
Ducted Heat Pumps
EPUD requires the Performance Comfort Tested Systems (PTCS) standard for its ducted heat pump program to ensure quality and reliable installations. EPUD offers an $800 rebate for ducted heat pump upgrades and a $1,900 rebate for ducted heat pump conversions. EPUD also offers zero-interest loans of up to $7,500 for qualifying standard heat pumps in partnership with First Tech Credit Union. State and federal tax credits may also be available for the installation of qualifying heat pumps. Please see the Heat Pump Program Description in the related documents section.
